South West businesses have until Saturday July 30 to nominate their employees, trainees or apprentices for this year’s Employee of the Year Award.
The honour is presented as part of the South West Business Excellence Awards, organised each year by BSW Connect to celebrate and recognise the achievements of the region’s business community.
This year, the South West Development Commission is sponsoring the accolade as part of its commitment to highlighting the high calibre of skilled workers in the region.
SWDC chief executive officer Mellisa Teede said the State Government agency was delighted to once again partner with BSW Connect to provide a platform for acknowledging local success stories in the business community.
“We have some amazing talent living and working in our wonderful South West region and the awards program is a fantastic opportunity to shine the spotlight on well-deserving businesses and individuals,” Ms Teede said.
“We are working to deliver on the State Government’s commitment to support local workforce needs – and one way we are doing this is illuminating the South West as a great place to live and work.
“These awards highlight that you can enjoy the lifestyle benefits of living in a regional area like the South West and also have a successful career.”
BSW Connect awards coordinator Louise Barkle said there were a variety of awards categories to enter.
“With categories for businesses, business owners and their employees, the South West Business Excellence Awards are a wonderful way to celebrate our incredible and unique South West business community,” Mrs Barkle said.
Finalists will be announced on September 21 2022, with winners announced during a gala presentation on October 29 2022. Entries close at 6pm on Saturday July 30 2022. Enter here.
