Jetstar has announced a new non-stop route between Sydney and Busselton Margaret River Airport, which is set to boost tourism in Western Australia’s South West region.
The three-times-weekly service will launch on 26 March 2024 and be operated by a Jetstar Airbus A320 aircraft.
The new service follows the commencement of the airline’s highly popular direct flight between Melbourne and Busselton Margaret River that launched in April 2022.
The new flights will provide more than 50,000 seats between Sydney and WA’s South West in the first year, including overseas travellers wishing to access the world-renowned food and wine region without stopping over in Perth.
Earlier this year, the State Government announced the commencement of further planning for the long-term infrastructure needs of Busselton Margaret River Airport, on the back of strong passenger growth and the potential for additional services.
