RED Grants Communication Guidelines

RED Grants Communication Guidelines

Sharing the good news

Getting the word out that your project received a RED grant is a great way to get recognised for the work you’re doing to create jobs and support the region’s vibrant economy.

We also want to share the good news about your project as it begins starts to take shape.

This guide has been created to help you correctly reference the RED Grants program and acknowledge the funding partners supporting your project.

Click on the Acknowledgement and Logo Usage Guide for more information.

Logo recognition

Grant recipients are required to display our logos to acknowledge the State and SWDC on any project-related promotional material or media articles.

The logos can be used on media releases and newsletters, your website and social media, advertising material, signage, plaques, event launches or openings and any project-related presentations.

Click on the Acknowledgement and Logo Usage Guide for guidelines on how to download and use the logos.

Media stories

Let us know if you would like to share your news with the media. We can help you with key messages and may be able to provide quotes for inclusion in your story.

You may also wish to mention us in your social media or share the good news so that we may promote the success of your project through our channels.

You can tag us on Facebook or LinkedIN using the handle @swdc.wa.gov.au or hashtag #southwestredgrants.

All RED grant related draft media statements should be forwarded to SWDC for approval prior to release.

Please contact the grants team at grantscoordinator@swdc.wa.gov.au to discuss any media opportunities.

Advertising and signage

Acknowledging that the State Government supports your project is a good way to let people know that you’re doing something beneficial for the region.

Prior to production, we ask that you submit your final proof to SWDC for approval and let us know the size and location of any proposed signage.

A permanent plaque affixed to a building or structure gives lasting recognition and is suited to infrastructure projects.

Events and announcements

SWDC has banners and temporary signage available for conferences, events, official openings, presentations, media appearances and interviews.

Official protocols require that the State is invited to all announcements or events related to the funded project.

It is also expected that arrangements are coordinated to allow the Minister or an official representative to attend.

Please contact SWDC well in advance of any official launch event so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Photos

Photos and videos are a great way to highlight your project and share success with your stakeholders and ours.

If you send us your photos we can share the good news through our e-newsletter, social media and website. Don’t forget to include your social media profiles so we can tag you in our stories.

Our friendly team may wish to visit to see your progress first-hand and possibly take some photos while we’re there.

We’re here to help

If you have any questions, or you want to share your news or need help with logos, please contact our team on 9792 2000 or email grantscoordinator@swdc.wa.gov.au .
