Free workshops to provide insight into applying for State Government grants

Local businesses and organisations are invited to equip themselves for applying for State Government grants by attending a free workshop.

Workshops will be held in Manjimup, Bunbury and Busselton over June 1 and 2 for the purpose of preparing locals for upcoming funding opportunities.

The South West Development Commission, in collaboration with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, has organised for grant writing expert Tara Whitney of Whitney Consulting to share her insights.

Attend to gain knowledge of what grant assessors are looking for – and get tips on what’s needed to give your application a leading edge.

Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants, Value Add Investment Grants, Agrifood and Beverage Voucher Program and Export Market Development Grants will all be covered during the sessions.

SWDC chief executive officer Mellisa Teede said each workshop will also incorporate a presentation by a RED grants recipient as well as a question and answer session.

“This is a great opportunity to find out more from the State Government teams delivering grant funding programs in the South West,” Ms Teede said.

“It’s all part of our efforts to grow local businesses, support jobs, and diversify the region’s economy.”
