Business serves up another ‘foodey’ offering
Around the region, the State Government’s Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants are giving local businesses a welcome boost. And among those which have benefited from a RED Grant is Foodey, a Bunbury business with a “zero waste – maximum taste” philosophy.
Offering solutions for customers who are time-poor but value taste and nutrition, Foodey was established by Michelle Verwijimeren and Terri Thomson with the intention of “putting good food on household tables.”
The local enterprise has recently expanded its offerings to include a ready-made product that meets the needs of a range of customers including seniors, people with disability or those experiencing illness or injury.
Foodey Ready Made is an addition to Foodey’s popular meal kits which provide recipes together with local and seasonal produce as well as helpful Foodey tips.
The new product line has been supported with a RED Grant for the purchase of equipment, helping to increase capacity.
