Grants
The South West Development Commission administers two main annual funding programs – the Royalties for Regions South West Regional Grants Scheme and the South West Events Program.
Royalties for Regions
The Western Australian Government’s Royalties for Regions initiative will reinvest the equivalent of 25 per cent of the State’s annual mining and resources royalties revenue into regional communities every year.
In 2008-09 a contestable grants scheme is available to support projects in the South West Region. The South West Regional Grants Scheme aims to improve economic and community infrastructure and services in the region through funding projects that will assist in attracting investment and increasing jobs or help to improve the quality of life in the region.

South West Events Program
The South West Development Commission provides grants for South West festivals, events and markets which are of regional significance, promote visitation to the South West and provide a high quality experience.
