New face at the South West Development Commission - 29 May 2009
Businesses, community groups and government agencies in the Collie-Preston region have a new helping hand in Richard Oades.
Richard has been appointed as the South West Development Commission’s regional coordinator for Collie-Preston, replacing Alan Cross who is now overseeing projects in the Harvey, Dardanup and Bunbury areas.
He joins the Commission with 30 years of management and community development experience including time spent running his own consultancy business.
As part of his new role, Richard will work in places such as Collie, Donnybrook and Capel to generate new and support existing projects that benefit the South West.
“It’s an exciting time for the region with many projects in development including Collie’s Lake Kepwari, a former open cut coal mine that is being transformed into a recreational lake,” he said.
