South West Directions 2004

South West Directions – An Action Plan for a Sustainable Future (July 2004) is a 'triple bottom line' action plan that addresses economic, social, environmental and governance issues currently facing the South West Region.

It is the new look South West Strategy, the first blueprint for the sustainable development of the South West, which was last published in 1994.

Building on the Strategy and the Government's Regional Development Policy and State Sustainability Strategy, the action plan has been developed using existing plans and ideas, and the input of key stakeholders.

It aims to guide the State Government's support of sustainable growth for the region and provide a framework for government agencies in the delivery of their services.

Feedback on the action plan is welcome at any time. Please forward your written comments to:
Chief Executive Officer
South West Development Commission
PO Box 2000
BUNBURY WA 6231

Progress in implementing the plan will be monitored and the plan itself will be reviewed, updated and reissued periodically.
