Bunbury Outer Ring Road Stakeholders Group
The South West Development Commission has established a lobby group of community leaders to build a business case for construction of the Bunbury Outer Ring Road.
The aim of this bypass route is to improve the strategic road transport network in the South West and enhance traffic flow and safety on the city’s outskirts and to aid access to the Bunbury Port.
Modelled on the successful Perth-Bunbury Highway group, the Bunbury Outer Ring Road Stakeholders Group will lobby State and Federal Ministers and assist in securing funding for the project.
A priority for the stakeholders group is to present a case to convince the Federal Government to include the Bunbury Outer Ring Road in the AUSLINK register.
The proposed ring road will link all the highways entering Bunbury, including the proposed port access road and greatly reduce traffic flow trough the Eelup roundabout.
Membership includes business groups, local government and state government agencies.
