2007 South West Focus Conference
Australia’s South West is booming.
It has a thriving resources industry, and is enjoying an unprecedented demand for tourism infrastructure.
Commercial and residential real estate developments are booming and residents here benefit from an unparalleled quality of life with a pristine natural environment.
Growth in the local economy here outstrips the national average five-fold. Gross Regional Product (GRP) grew 12.3 percent in 2004/05. The population of the region is also growing at twice the national average.
To emphasise this growth and showcase business and investment opportunities, the South West Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc., in partnership with the South West Development Commission, is hosting the next South West Focus Conference in April 2007.
The focus of the 2007 conference will be the resource industry and infrastructure, however will highlight other industries and topics such as tourism, real estate and international trade.
The conference will see presentations from key government representatives and industry leaders.
The 2007 conference will be held over two days in the South West. The program includes industry and government presentations, discussion groups, a cocktail function, a conference dinner, a trade expo, and possibly a partner program and a post-conference program.
The steering committee is also preparing for a pre-conference briefing in Perth on Wednesday 15 November 2006.
