ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL, BUNBURY
|
|
The new St Patrick's Cathedral precinct was officially opened in
March 2011. The precinct was extensively damaged by a destructive
tornado in May 2005, resulting in the old cathedral being damaged
beyond repair. The new cathedral, with its soaring bell tower and
glass spire, is now a Bunbury landmark. One of its many other
features is the enormous side windows painted by world-renowned
artist Robert Juniper. Building the new cathedral was a rare event
and this iconic community asset will play a vital role in the
spiritual and social fabric of the South West. Visit www.bunburycatholic.org.au for more
