The Dolphin Discovery Centre is both a premier Bunbury visitor attraction and a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the protection of marine animals and the conservation of their environment. It runs a variety of programs including those focused on rescue, rehabilitation and conservation.
Our Board recently went behind the scenes at the Dolphin Discovery Centre, participating in a tour that included the chance to learn more about the centre’s turtle rescue and rehabilitation program.
The Dolphin Discovery Centre plays an integral role in the care and recovery of loggerhead turtles that wash up along local beaches. Through its rehabilitation efforts, the centre helps nurse these marine creatures back to health before they are released into the warmer waters off Exmouth.
