Have your say about harbour’s future

Tuesday, 3 March 2015

People are invited to have their say about how Bunbury's Casuarina boat harbour could be used in the future by completing an online survey.

The questionnaire gives community members the opportunity to express their views on how "Area 7" on the concept plan put together by the Bunbury Marine Facilities Steering Committee could be developed.

SWDC chief executive officer Don Punch invited people to share their thoughts about ways the potential marine and tourism hub could be used in the years ahead.

"We recently held a public workshop at the Sanctuary Golf Resort that gave people the opportunity to comment on what they would - and wouldn't − like to see at the harbour," he said.

"We received some great feedback at the event and thank everyone who took the time to participate.

"As not everyone who wanted to attend was available to come along, we have developed the survey as another way for people to provide input into the creation of a master plan for the area."

Mr Punch said there would be further opportunities for people to comment once the master plan was completed.

"This is a public asset and we want everyone to have the chance to be involved in planning for its future," he said.

"Therefore, keep an eye out for more chances to have your say as the project moves along."

People have until Thursday April 2 to complete the survey, which is available from .
