Sponsoring a Skilled Migrant - Information for South West business operators
Are you a business operator in the South West unable to recruit suitable people for skilled vacancies within your business?
Many South West business operators have successfully employed a skilled migrant through one of the Regional Employer Sponsored Migration Schemes with the assistance of the South West Development Commission (SWDC).
You can sponsor a migrant for a temporary as well as a permanent position.
Sponsoring a skilled migrant might be the solution for your business.
Requirements
What does it mean to sponsor a skilled migrant?
You have to offer the skilled migrant a full-time position that requires a specific skill level. Employment conditions offered are in accordance with Australian industrial laws.
You can only sponsor a migrant into a position for which you have been unable to recruit a suitable Australian citizen or resident.
