With a growth rate twice the national average, Australia's South West is home to many large-scale land developments. The following provides a selection proposed or underway:
Dalyellup Beach Development

Satterley Property Group
Dalyellup Beach Development is a $50 million joint venture between landowners Homeswest, developers Satterley Real Estate and Home Building Society. The 660 hectare coastal strip is located west of the Bussell Highway at Gelorup, south of Bunbury. An estimated 3,300 lots will be released over the life of the development.

Dunsborough Lakes Estate is currently undergoing a major 10-year enhancement programme which includes the development of over 750 additional residential lots, landscaped parklands and safe access to the Dunsborough beach front. These improvements will also see the creation of an array of new developments including a tavern bistro, the innovative Enterprise Park, new entry statement, extensive landscaping and a 12 acre feature lake.
Millbridge Private Estate

MillBridge Private Estate is located approximately 8 kms from the Bunbury CBD. Located within the Shire of Dardanup, MillBridge Private Estate adjoins the well-established suburb of Eaton. MillBridge Private Estate itself is bounded by Eaton Drive to the west, the Collie River to the north and the Australind Bypass to the south and west. MillBridge is close to the well-established shopping, education and recreation facilities of Eaton. Recently approved, MillBridge has recently become the South-West's newest suburb. Approximately 1,400 lots are expected to be released over the life of the development.

This is a major 10-year project which will result in the development of 1000 residential lots of which approximately half have already been released. The 300 hectare site also includes a marina with further development of a shopping complex and tourist facilities planned. This project is expected to cost in total approximately $100 million.
Treendale Estate

Treendale Private Developers
Treendale Estate is located on the banks of the Brunswick River, near Australind. Treendale private developers are developing the 1,200 residential lot estate, which will also include a major shopping centre, retail outlets, tavern, medical centre and retirement village. Construction of stage 1 of the Treendale District Centre will commence in 2010 at a cost of $48 million, with construction of the proposed retirement village to follow.
Vasse Newtown

Saracen Properties
Vasse Newtown, located just eight kilometres south west of Busselton, comprises a mixture of residential, retail, education, health and commercial land development, with the first estate of 550 residential lots sold and developed. The development will extend over 300 hectares and include 1,750 home sites, four schools including the Vasse Primary School and the recently completed $25 million Cape Naturaliste College. The development will also include extensive parks, sporting and recreational grounds, and a village-style town centre.

Busselton
Satterley Real Estate
Provence is a new land development located at the eastern gateway to Busselton. The developer, Satterley Real Estate, estimate that $1 billion will be invested in capital infrastructure over the life of the development. Due for completion in 2015, the total landholding of 230 hectares will be divided into three villages, encompassing a combined total of 2,000 homes and an estimated population of 6,000.
