Southern Region showcase - 9 July 2007

Calling all talented young people!

Are you:

  • Younger than 35 years old?
  • Looking for a place to show your music, theatre, poetry, multi-media, comedy or dance abilities, achievements or talents?

Organisers of the 2007 Southern Region Community Leadership Forum are looking for young people who have an act to perform at the two-day event.

Southern Region Leadership Strategy Steering Committee member Deanna Giumelli said the Southern Region Showcase was an opportunity for young people to show off their talents in front of a diverse, appreciative audience.

“As a gesture of thanks to performers for giving up their time they will also be able to participate in the forum sessions and listen to the speakers and presentations surrounding their performance” Ms Giumelli said.

“The aim of the Southern Region Showcase is to break the stereotypical perception of what being a community leader or providing leadership is.”

Interested persons will need to provide a very basic completed expression of interest form outlining their contact details, the type of performance/ability and how many performers there will be.

Performers will need to be available to perform at various time slots throughout the duration of the conference.

The event will be held at Fairbridge Village, Pinjarra from the 9th until the 10th of August 2007.

If you are interested in this awesome opportunity to perform in front of  approximately 200 people from the Peel, South West and Great Southern Regions, please contact Wendy Sugg, Network South West Coordinator, Advocacy South West  on 08 9791 3482 for more details.
